Who we are

Air Child Virtual Airline (“Air Child”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Christopher Bennett. For privacy-related questions or requests, contact c.bennett@air-child.com.

What data we collect

• Account information — such as display name, email address, pilot ID, profile details you provide when registering or updating your crew profile, and authentication data from sign-in providers (for example Discord OAuth) where you choose to use them.
• Flight logs and PIREPs — flight reports, route and aircraft data, block times, distances, scores, ACARS session metadata, and related operational records needed to run the virtual airline.
• Technical data — server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) and security-related events when you access our services.

How we use your data

We use personal data to:

• Provide and maintain your pilot account and crew-area features.
• Process, validate, and display PIREPs, rankings, currency, and statistics.
• Operate schedules, fleet assignments, training progress, and community features.
• Communicate service updates, training notices, or responses to your support requests.
• Protect the platform against abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
• Improve our services through aggregated, non-identifying analytics where applicable.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with subprocessors needed to host and operate the platform (for example hosting or email providers), under appropriate agreements, or when required by law.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage where necessary for authentication, session security, and basic site preferences. Some cookies are essential for the site to function; others may help us remember settings you choose. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may limit login or crew-area functionality.

Retention

We keep account and flight records for as long as your membership is active and as needed for legitimate virtual-airline operations, legal obligations, or dispute resolution. When you request deletion, we will remove or anonymise data where we are not required to retain it.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email c.bennett@air-child.com with enough detail for us to verify your request. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or legal requirements change. The current version is always published on this page. Continued use of Air Child after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
